LUME

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-15

These Terms govern your use of Lume — a VPN application for iOS. By installing or using Lume, you agree to these Terms. If you don't, please don't use the app.

The service

Lume routes your internet traffic through encrypted tunnels operated by us. We use the AmneziaWG protocol on our servers to keep your traffic private and resistant to network-level inspection. Lume is provided "as is" — we'll do our best to keep it fast and reliable, but we don't promise it will be available 100% of the time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Lume to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, with or without notice. Anonymous-mode users can still have their device's public key revoked at the gateway level.

Subscriptions & billing

Subscriptions automatically renew unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged within 24 hours of the end of the period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in Account Settings on the App Store. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by Lume — request refunds through reportaproblem.apple.com.

iOS-specific terms

You acknowledge that this is an agreement between you and Lume, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. To the extent these Terms differ from Apple's Standard EULA, our Terms govern.

Account & content

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Anonymous-mode users are responsible for keeping their device — if you lose your phone, anyone with access to it can use your free quota. We can revoke any device's public key at our discretion if we detect abuse.

Intellectual property

The Lume name, logo, mascot, and app interface are our property. The underlying WireGuard and AmneziaWG protocols are open-source and licensed by their respective authors. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Lume brand without permission.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lume is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business interruption.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be surfaced in-app and will require your re-acceptance. Continued use after non-material changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Lume is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
